need guide to build gaming pc

Hi
Im going to build a gaming pc but im doubtful between:
i3--8100 and gtx 1080 vs 13-8350k and gtx 1070ti
which would you recommend i want play games on ultra and 1080p
and i dont want to upgrade it for 4-5 years
i might buy a 4k monitor and play 4k on it
ram : 16gb g.skill trident z
mobo:MSI Z370 KRAIT GAMING ATX
ssd:samsung evo 850 250gb

Don’t waste your money on a graphics card. That would be a severe bottleneck, which would definitely limit the power of your gpu. I’d go with a 1060 with an i3. The 1060 should handle some 1080p gaming, but you may need to turn down a few settings. Those settings aren’t so much of a drastic change as a 900p vs 1080p res

what if i use ryzen cpu like 1500x or 1600

I5 8400 + gtx 1070/ti makes more sense.

Awful idea buying a quad core with that kind of budget nowadays
The 8350k is a waste of money imo & rubbish value , by the time youve added a decent cooler it costs the same as the 6 core i5.

Ryzen 1600 also a good choice for 1080p 60 & 4k

Either will work the new i3 processors have 4 true cores. For 4K the 1080 would give you better performance. ( not ultra with 60FPS in most games)
For 1080p or up to 1440p I would lean toward the overclockable processor and 1070ti.

I vote for the i3-8350K and plan on overclocking it.
You are likely to get to 4.6-4.9.
The i3-8100 is a nice chip for what it is, but it gets 4 threads via hyperthreading which is less effective than 4 true cores.

The GTX1070ti is a very strong card that will be appropriate for 4k gaming.
It is not that different from a GTX1080.
(hope you can find either at any price)

One rule of thumb for a balanced gamer is to budget 2x the cost of the cpu for the graphics card.
I think you have that spot on.

Ryzen is a reasonable alternative if you need many threads.
Most games can not effectively use more than 2-3 threads.
They tend to be multiplayer with many participants.
Usually the speed of the single master thread is all important.
ryzen seems to top out the overclock in the 3.8 range.
More expensive chips like the 1700x or 1800x give you more threads and a better chance of getting to 3.9/4.0

Take the time to check out i3-8350K benchmarks for YOUR games.
I do not think it gets the love it deserves.

is the 4k monitor 60hz or 120 hz ?

One way or another if you want the best fps on 4k and keep the computer as if for years, you need to get more than an i3.

I recommend at least an i5 but the i7 would be the best for your needs. But I understand this is a big hike in price.

Just get a 8400 and a 1070ti since the 8400 will end up costing about as much as a 8350k + cooler (does not come with one and needs a good cooler) anyways.
