Need help about CPU cooler

I have a Ryzen 3 1200 and I use it for gaming.I play titles like Fallout 4,Crysis 3 and my CPU temp are in the higher 40's range.I use a stock cooler with my Ryzen.Should I upgrade to a new CPU cooler?Will it give me any performance gains If I am not overclocking my CPU?

No you don't need to... you can easily OC that CPU to 3.8-3-9 GHz without changing the stock cooler.
An aftermarket cooler won't give you any performance gains.
40C is really low for a processor.
