Hello! I have a Seagate SSHDD 1TB and i was wodering if is really worth it buying a ssd just for OS, or should i spend my money elsewhere?

Solution
As I said, the money would be better spent on a better cooler, but you decide..... what's worth more to you ?

A. Increased performance in all your apps and games thru a bigger OC and and / or lower thermals

or

B. 0.9 seconds of boot time
Depends on your budget.....

The SSHD boots in 16.5 seconds, the SSD will save you 0.9 seconds (15.6).

I have two SSDs and 2 SSHDs in my desktop, but I wouldn't look to spend money there until after I had a 4690k, 16GB 2133 or better, SLI / CF of at least 970's and a very good cooler.

I currently have i7 4790k, 16 gb gskill 2133, asus maximus 7 ranger and gainward phantom 970. i currently have cooler master seidon 120v as my cooler so if i buy a ssd you will not have money for a better cooler. So you see my dilemma
