I have a Ryzen 3600
MSI b450 tomahawk Max
Radeon RX 5700
Windows 10 64 bit

So I originally had two 8gb sticks of Ram installed in and everything was working good.

I was watching YouTube videos on video editing and a video suggested 32gb ram is ideal for video editing. So I bought 2 more of the same 8gb sticks of ram. They are g skills rip jaw dd4 3600. My pc like I said earlier was working fine, I turned off my PC , unplugged and then installed the additional Ram. ... The pc would turn on but nothing’s happening, the “boot” red light just comes on. I was like oh shoot this might not work. So I took the 2 additional ram sticks out and now the PC is still doing the same thing. Did I eff something up?

Thanks in advance for all your help

Update..... Cleared the CMOS I think... then tried to restart the the pc and nothing happened. I then turned off the PC , unplugged and took out a single ram stick leaving only one in slot #2, i then switchEd power Supply plug to a different outlet (not sure if it was this that actually helped) and the pc booted finally. I turned off and then added the 2nd (original) stick back into slot #4. PC booted fine again.

So that’s good. But now my question is, can my pc not handle 2 extra 8gb sticks of ram. I had xmp enabled on the original ram, did this maybe cause the issue? I’m lost and confused. Glad it’s working , but would like to take advantage of the additional ram I have if I can.

What do you guys think about this situation.??.
