I have an 18gig barracuda 7200 rpm drive that has an 80pin ultra scsi connector, I have an adapter that takes it from the 80 pin connector down to a 50 pin connector and then I have it hooked up to a tekram Ultra SCSI Card and there are no dip switches on the card. I also have a 50 pin active terminator for the end of the cable.
I'm trying to get it to run under WIN XP. I can get everything loaded and even format the drive but after I format the drive I get a message that says "Windows can not be loaded on this partition be sure you have the drive connected properly. If this is a SCSI device be sure it is terminated properly."
I just got this drive back from an RMA so I know it should work fine. any help would be greatly appreciated.
oh one other thing. on the adapter to the drive itself that converts it from 80pin to 50pin it has several jumpers that are labeled as follows TPR, DLY, REM, LED, SNC, SNC, ID0, ID1, ID2, ID3.
