Hello you,

Thanks for reading and maybe helping me out.

I am looking to build a new PC and I'm looking for some thoughts and advice on the following set-up:

  • CPU: i7-9700K (or should I go for i5-9600K)
  • MOBO: MSI MPG Z390M GAMING EDGE AC - is µATX (or should I go for MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus)
  • GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super GAMING OC 3X 8GB (or should I go for any other RTX 2070 Super)
  • SSD: Samung 970 EVO, 500GB
  • RAM: Corsair LPX 32GB DDR4-3000
  • CPU-cooler: Noctua NH-D15
  • PSU: Corsair RMx850
  • CASE: Corsair Crystal 460X RGB (or any other advice)

I am going to use this PC for gaming - mostly shooters.

Again, thanks for reading and helping me out!

If you go for the X570, you won't be able to use that Intel processor. You will need to look at AMD's Ryzen 3000 series processors.

The build as is, is alright. I don't know how much you're paying for it but something tells me we could probably tailor a better build with AMD's Ryzen processor in there.

List your location, your budget and your preferred site for purchase. Better yet, read through this thread and stylize your post accordingly with the additional information.

I like to build a PC - €2000 ($2200).
I can't assemble it myself.

Suggest me for the following please:
  • CPU:
  • MOBO:
  • GPU:
  • SSD:
  • RAM:
  • CPU-cooler:
  • PSU:
  • CASE:
Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Budget Range: €2000 ($2200) - with assemble & shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No, I have a BENQ XL2411

Parts to Upgrade: New build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes - need new Windows

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: https://vgcomputers.be/ and https://www.alternate.be/

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking: I won't do it myself, so maybe standard - not too much noise btw

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I don't need a lot of bling - not to loud (using CS:GO and PUBG - Battlefield in the future)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My older PC is getting slow - lagging.

The stock Ryzen CPU cooler is just fine so you save money there. The smaller SSD is for OS/Applications and the larger for games. The HDD is for movies, music, etc...

Go to DELL Site and Select New Aurora Alienware Desktop. Under that select the one priced at 1,849 and configure it as per spec in below provided image
Alienware.jpg

If you don't plan on building one your self this is the best you can get for that budget prebuilt. Big hit on performance compared to what you can get when you assemble it your self.

Here is the list:

Price is same but performance it is around 50-60% improvement over Alienware. And of very high quality.

Hi guys,

I've put together the PC that I want on www.alternate.be. This because I don't like to buy these parts apart, so I am looking for someone to assemble them and having some aftersales support.

After everything the price of these parts assembled is €2600 - I want your advice on this build. Where could be the bottleneck, what is an overkill for other parts, ...

MOBO: GIGABYTE AORUS X570 AORUS PRO
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X socket AM4
COOLER: Noctua NH-D15 cpu-koeler
RAM: Corsair 32 GB DDR4-3200 GPU:
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GAMING OC 8G V2
CASE: Corsair Crystal 460X RGB
PSU: Corsair RM850X, 850 Watt
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 500 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64bit

Thanks a lot!
