Hi all. I was hoping that someone here could give me a quick refresher on
how to re-install TOB back to its "modded original". Quick summary: I've
been gone to Iraq for about the last 10 months. I had a great install of
TOB with all of the mods that I desired in just the right flavor for me.
During my time away, my PC was subject to the whims of my lovely wife and
two year old daughter. Long story short... I had to do a clean OS install
and a fresh TOB. I have copies of the save files and override files from
the previous install. I think I also still have the downloads and patches.
So, do I just drop those two files back in (after the patches) or do I need
to go back and re-install everything one at a time? TIA.......
Terry

You will need two things, the override folder and the dialog.tlk file.
If you don't have the dialog.tlk file you are basically sunk. If you
have it, install the game, run the offical update, then replace
dialog.tlk and override folder.

Personally I would just reinstall all the mods. I think it will be
easier in the long run. All the good ones can be found at:
www.pocketplane.net
www.weidu.org

Good luck and welcome back!
Mark.

The two other important details for a "recovery" are:

Manually delete the override directory before reinstalling or replacing with a clean backup
Manually delete your weidu.log file

Thanks to all for the input . I'll give it a go in my spare time. It's nice
to be back somewhere that allows the luxury of playing BG. Give me Irenicus
over IEDs any day.
