NEED HELP ASAP

Hello

I am building a computer as I type. On the Mobo I am using the asus rampage iv extreme there is 6 pin power connector to the bottom left of the left ram slots lust above the first pic slot. There is no easy way to plug the a power cord into it, do I need to plug it in?

No, the 12V power connectors are above the CPU socket (a 8-pin and a 4-pin one). I'll check the manual for the 6-pin one.

To me that looks like a 6-pin PCI-E power port, iv heard of some mobo's using them but never knew which ones.

I would look in the manual, that should say definitively if you do or don't need to connect it. I suspect you dont given its odd placement and that most other mobo's dont require it.

On the manual on page 2-2 it shows the Mobo and the things on it are numbered the power connector that I am talking about is number 27

Ok I read the book you only have to plug that in if you install 4 pci cards
