Currently using an FX-6300 with an MSI 760GM-P34(FX) inside of a RAIDMAX Pogona MATX-136B case and am hoping to mount a Hyper 212 Evo in place of the stock cooler.

Being that the case is discontinued, it's not listed on PCPartPicker and I'm not certain what dimensions I need to be looking for. Would greatly appreciate any help in determining if I can mount the Hyper 212 Evo. Thanks!

OK for $20 you can't complain about that

But i still believe that 159mm is too tall...
Heatsink dimensions. 116 x 51 x 159 mm (4.6 x 2.0 x 6.3 in)
Case dimensions. 15.00" x 8.00" x 16.50"

At 8 inch width of the case the heatsink will fit. You will however no longer be able to put side fans on the case most likely.

It's because it's not listed in PCP doesn't mean that you can't find information elsewhere

In this case the chassie is 8 inches width so it will barely fit that cooler.

One of the biggest drawbacks of that cooler, it is a little bit tall so I would consider other options such as deepcool gammax 400, be quiet pro, thermaltake frio silent 12, cryorig H7, etc. In my opinion they are better options for the price

Thanks for the response!

To clarify, I wouldn't have to remove existing fans, just wouldn't be able to add additional, correct? There's currently a 120mm fan mounted just behind the heatsink (next to the mobo ports).

The only fan that would interfere with your cooler is the side-panel fan. Not the rear-fan (next to the ports) or the fan on the top

Still, I would grab a smaller heatsink to make sure it is fully compatible

This case didn't come with a side panel fan, just the front 120mm under the power switches and the 120mm in the back, next to the mobo ports. Wasn't even aware that it was possible to mount a fan on the side panel. This was a builder PC I bought from CyberPower for entry-level stuff and have been upgrading it bit by bit. I don't plan to keep the case and since the Hyper 212 Evo is interchangeable with a large number of AMD/Intel sockets, I feel like it's my best choice. Hell, I'll bend the removable side panel to make it fit if I have to.. lol.

Picture of the case, both fans are visible (that cable isn't nearly as close to the cooler as it looks.. 6+ inches off the top):

any of these is smaller and cooler, furthermore they are compatible with most sockets

get this if you want CM

Most of those are outside my on-a-whim budget. I can get the Hyper 212 Evo on eBay for $20 right now and it's always been a highly-rated cooler here on Tom's. I've bookmarked these though for future reference, especially that Cryorig.

But i still believe that 159mm is too tall for a low-end case. Most low-end cases have a maximum clearance of 155mm or so, some of them get to 158mm
