I did nothing rong at all,
Received money
Shipped in 2days after auction
Have proof it arrived with ups tracking at the addie provided in ebay and paypal.
And paypal did a investigation because buyer claimed "unauthorized purchase"
I didnt noticed this was going on till the final stage of the investigation
They refunded her money today.
And i stand here with my paypal account at -848$ (i received paypal payments sense this happend) it was -1064$.

And im getting frauded, no money or computer. I basicly got screwed.

Do you have the money from the transaction in your pocket? If so, if I were you I'd say good luck to paypal and/or ebay in getting it back from you without the return of the item. I can't imagine how paypal would refund the money when proof of delivery was made without proof the item had been returned.

Overall it's a crappy situation, however I think so long as you actually have the money from the transaction you are in the better spot. To me it looks like paypal has got some screwed up policies. I would think Ebay would come to you aid, as you have a positive history there.

Did either of these entities try calling you? Or didn't you have a phone number on file?

Nope paypal just has a "email" policy no one EVER called me, ive not heard a word from the person who got frauded to maybe work this out with him/her.

As far as having the money i got a new computer which is worth 1150$ that i bought with the money so really yes i do have the money in my hand. its just Legally based i owe paypal money now.

So where exactly is the damned computer? And who signed to accept its delivery?

its was delivered here: ups tracking:1Z 0E1 R41 03 0405 461 2

Jetter Tuna
445 Lee Road lot 374 40
Valley, AL 36854
United States

I did some research of my own and she isnt in the phone book, ebay wont let me get her contact information so i have no way of calling her and getting her part of the story. Unless one of you can dig up a phone number.

*edit*
Also the paypal has Blanked out her phone number like this.
|area code| | xxx| |xxxx| The boxes are white instead of having numbers.

From my research i believe the person had it sent to a address where no one lives. because Intelius has no information of anyone living in lot # 40.
And its another 50$ to find out a phone number for lot #35 so yeah im at dead end again.

Now about getting a lawyer, i cant sue paypal thats crazy there way to powerful and have to much money. and Jetter is a fake so no idea who that really is. I have really nothing i can do about this unless u guys have a idea.

Nah it doesnt match, Jetter is a fake who used this ladys card to send it to this Lot #40 addie. So shipping doesnt match billing addie.

I think i will have to learn from this like mentioned above. Pay the remaining 750$ and next time require a phone call to buyer, Confirmed address and buy seller protection. I dont think i have a case really.

Surely the shipping address has to match the billing address of the credit card used for payment?

Ok yeah it doesnt match, but get this i filed a police report today and the man was like wtf does paypal want with you. "All there trying to do is cover THEIR(paypal) Losses by using you any judge will say wtf are u guys trying to do. Just dont pay this money if paypal Harasses you recored the times, Dates and who you talked to and wait till they stop when you get the Court date from paypal present your evidence and your going to win this case."

So yeah fuck paypal :)

Well i talked with paypal over the phone and they claim because the Seller protection was not purchased there not liable for a cent.

My ass. I don't think you're liable at all. I'm with the policeman. If I were you I'd tell them to fly a kite, and start composing my letter to attach to any possible claim they might file against me on my credit report. Paypal is going to have to sue you for the money.

And how the heck does anyone know that the fraud wasn't perpetrated with the knowledge of the buyer who says she was frauded. Not only was her paypal account and credit card used unathorized but someone obviously logged into her ebay account. While it's possible all this was hacked it's highly unlikely anyone with that skill went through all that trouble to obtain a second hand computer. Think about it. My bet is she knows whoever bought the item, though may not neccessariliy have been aware that it was bought. The cop is right, you'll win... you may have to hire a lawyer though (which sucks), but you'll win the case.

Well the ebay account i found out with talking with ebay is from TX and the buyer's card is used in AL so there is 2 people involved but the pc was sent to AL. And Legally im no expert but if paypal secured them selves legally with the seller having to buy the seller protection in order to be covered over 1000$ then im screwed. See the police officer didnt know about this protection policy from paypal. I found out about the dam protection last night.

Frankly, the 'sellers protection' sounds like nothing more to me than an extra way for paypal or ebay to make a buck. Much like the extra insurance that car rental places sell. They act as if you're not protected or insured otherwise, by law you are, it's just a way for them to make an extra buck. It's up to you, but if it were me paypal wouldn't see a dime from me.

Thanks for posting about this on this forum. I intend on selling a car on ebay soon. I'll accept nothing other than a certified check as payment, paypal has proven the are not a good company to do business with, screw em. I imagine they have something to do with all the reposts I see of items after the supposedly sell.

Then everything is peachy but yeah i wouldnt do paypal with a car anyways imagine the Fee's i pay 100$ in ebay and paypal fee's selling a 1g computer.
