need help booting into ubuntu? :)

Finally finished my build today! and i try to install ubuntu and the USB drive wont show up and boot ubuntu! it says: boot and select proper boot device instert boot media in selected boot device and press a keyi

Im using a Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard with 8GB of corsair vengeance RAM, a 500GB samsung 7200rpm HDD and an intel i5 3570k

any ideas?

any ideas?

Does your flash show up on the list when you choose "select boot device?" ? Or on the list in the boot order in the bios? If yes, you probably have a bad install on the flash, if no we'd have to explore other problems.

the program i used didnt install the files properly.. tried a better program and bam! ubuntu success
