Hi everyone,

I need your help. I have been getting several amount of different BSOD in my new pc which I just built six days ago. The very first BSOD I got was Thursday while I was playing DayZ Standalone, and then it followed in Dota 2. This ONLY occurs during the game at random in game time.
I think I received every stop codes including Memory_Management, Page_Fault_In_NonPaged_Area, IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal, System Thread Exception Not Handled, and some more that I can't remember. I did a lot of research before I posted here and I tried them but none actually worked for me, or at least prevented my pc from getting BSOD while playing games.

LIST OF THE THINGS I TRIED
Used Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and Memtest86 and the results are all good (WMDT: No Problem Found/Memtest86: 9 Passes and 0 Errors at 12 hours testing time)
Uninstalled and changed my Anti-Virus from ESET Smart Security to Avast Premier
Scanned my whole pc and found zero problem using Avast
Updated all the drivers and updates (OS, GPU, Audio, and Network Adapter)
Used CCleaner to fix registry files
Reinstalled GPU Driver
Reinstalled Windows 10

MY PC SPECS
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with stock cooler
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G
MB: ASRock AB350M Pro4
PSU: CX Corsair 550M 80+ Bronze
RAM: PC4-17000 4GBX2 2133 DDR4
SSD: MX300 CT275MX300SSD1
CASE: Versa H24
MONITOR: VE248HR
WIFI: TP-Link ac1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter Archer T4U V1
OS: Windows 10 Education

I no longer don't know what to do and I'm running out of options. Please I desperately need your help and support. Anything would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to game with fear of BSOD in any moment and crash my system over and over again.
My video settings are all in high. I don't overclock and my bios settings are untouched (all set to default or auto). I used MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO64 to monitor my GPU and CPU temperature and they're all good.

Solution
Hi, I just seen this. I ran the 060517-6343-01.dmp file through the MS debugger and got the following results: https://pastebin.com/GS36fjuT

You had the error: [MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a)]
The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT bug check has a value of 0x0000001A. This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

Parameter 1 had a value of 0x41792 which means: A corrupted PTE has been detected. Parameter 2 contains the address of the PTE. Parameters 3/4 contain the low/high parts of the PTE.

I can't help you with this, maybe someone else will reply and help. Good luck.
1. Can you download and run who crashed - it will give us a glimpse of the errors you getting and might help us solve them

Copy/paste summary in here and I see what I can do :)

2. Can you follow option one here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-bsod-minidump-configure-create-windows-10-a.html
and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

that creates a file in c windows/minidump
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a cloud server and share the link here and someone with right software to read them will help you fix it :)

if you do those 2 things we can start figuring out the problem.

Hello Colif,

Thanks for the reply. I'm on it. Be right back.

Hey Colif,

1. I'm back. Here's my report from WhoCrashed.

2. And here are the download links for minidump files.
https://ufile.io/dypju
https://ufile.io/c1xz3

top one is Realtek wireless Lan drivers, I have seen that name before. What wireless card are you using? Need to see if it has win 10 drivers

rtwlanu.sys is part of Realtek WLAN Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter << if its an old card, you may need a new one. I think this doesn't have win 10 drivers

I can't read the dumps so not sure about bottom one, but top 2 are the same error (look at times), who crashed just sometimes shows both sides of the error.

All those errors are connected to memory one way or another. The first two I don't know what causes them, but I know about the third.
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL happens when your system tries to access a file, but the file isn't actually there or it can't access it for other reasons.
Did you install a new Windows when you bought the PC or did you transfer it from the old PC?

Hello Colif,

That's odd because I'm not using any wireless PCI card (if that's what you mean). What I'm using is a wireless dual band USB adapter from TP-Link Archer ac1200 T4U. And yes this one is Windows 10 compatible and it has updated drivers for my OS in which I already installed/updated.

What do you mean you can't read it? Do I need to reupload the minidump files from different website or its not readable by your software?

Forgive my ignorance, but what do I do with "Realtek wireless Lan drivers"? Do I need to remove/uninstall them from Device Manager? Because when I go to Device Manager then Network Adapters I'm seeing two drivers which are Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter. If I remove/uninstall "Realtek wireless Lan drivers", will it not affect my wireless connection and possible ethernet connection later?

i don't have the software to read the dumps, someone will pop in and convert them for me later... the dumps are probably fine.

Which model D link card do you use as some of them use realtek drivers, i found that last week. The top crash was caused by the drivers crashing Avast. Another choice is make sure you have the latest Avast as well. Driver description shows its USB 2, I didn't mean to make you think it was a PCI card

Hello lakimens,

Thanks for the reply. No, but I bought the PC parts recently and I installed the operating system with a pristine product key from my University.

I don't know if this has any relevance but when it comes to my steam games, I did the old fashioned way of transfering the files. By this I mean I copy and paste the game files from "old PC" common folder to "new PC" common folder. Do you guys perhaps think this may be the cause of reason why my OS crash when I play games? If so, this is weird because I did this to my other laptop and its not causing me any problems.

Hello Colif,

Apologies. The model I use is Archer T4U V1. The brand is TP-Link ac1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter.

Here's for more info: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-Adapter-Archer-T4U/dp/B00JBJ6VG8

As for Avast, its already updated so what else could you recommend? Should I get a new anti-virus?

I am not recommending anything till someone looks at dumps and i confirm i am right.. whocrashed pointed at realtek, so I am following its lead.

The stick bases on the Realtek RTL8812AU chipset,
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_Archer_T4U

last drivers were march, I cannot tell if you have them or not - http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/Archer-T4U.html#Driver

The Realtek RTL8812AU-CG is a highly integrated single-chip that supports 2-stream 802.11ac solutions with a Wireless LAN (WLAN) USB interface controller. It combines a WLAN MAC, a 2T2R capable WLAN baseband, and RF in a single chip. The RTL8812AU-CG provides a complete solution for a high-performance integrated wireless device.

trying to find drivers from realtek, google keeps shoing me lan drivers, not wlan

Hello Colif,

The driver download website you sent me is for "T4U V2" which is ac1300 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter. Mine is "T4U V1" ac1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter. The last driver update for my T4U V1 was December 23, 2016.

And for the other website link you gave me - I don't know the cause of his problem, but I am certain my wireless USB adapter works fine since its giving me the actual download and upload speed to my system, including but not limited to streaming and online gaming.

i blame google for the wrong adapter.. start again...

the wikilink is the right card - AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter, so it still does use realtek so if I can get a better driver from this year, it might help still

latest win 10 drivers here appear to be 1/1/2016 so not sure what you got in December as its not on here: http://www.tp-link.com.au/download/Archer-T4U_V1.html#Driver

yeah, i wasn't sure about that other link, just showed it as it pointed to issues with win 10 and the drivers. I have seen more realtek devices recently with errors.

Worth a try if your internet is fast enough.

Hi Colif,

This will be my final reply for today as I need to sleep since it's way past midnight here. Anyway back to the topic, it appears you're using Australia's TP-Link website that has outdated publication date. I got mine based in US, thus I look for US TP-Link website: http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/Archer-T4U_V1.html#Driver However, I did download the drivers from both website and I found out they're both using the latest driver so I guess it doesn't matter where you download it. I tried to install the latest driver manually and Windows keeps saying the best driver is already installed. Is there anyway I can do a clean full uninstallation of my network adapter drivers?

BREAK.....

I know we're not currently focusing on this but while I was waiting for your reply I tried to play Dota 2 and a BSOD occurs again at around fifteen minutes in game time. Here's the report.

On Mon 6/5/2017 1:02:34 AM your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\060517-6343-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x16C310)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x41792, 0xFFFFBABFFF7F1320, 0x8000000000000000, 0x0)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue).
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I hope you guys don't mind if I'm giving you latest BSOD report. I just wanted to make sure we're all in the same page here.

Hi lakimens,

You're right. I will reinstall my Dota 2 before I go to sleep and see if it works. The only reason I didn't do this before is I'm too scared to hit my bandwidth, but it seems at this stage I need to do everything just to resolve the problem.

I know right. This should be removed in Japan (where I live) or anywhere in the world because I can't really enjoy my high speed internet if I know its going to cut off if I hit a certain limit.

Hey guys,

I have had another BSOD earlier while I was playing Dota 2 where it freezes for a couple of seconds and does it system crash when I was testing my fully reinstalled Steam and Dota 2. I was thinking maybe downgrading the operating system to either Windows 7 or Windows 8 where these errors will unlikely occur. What are your thoughts? Do you think it will work? If not, maybe my best option is to bring it to PC technician and let them see what's up with my computer.

Hi, I just seen this. I ran the 060517-6343-01.dmp file through the MS debugger and got the following results: https://pastebin.com/GS36fjuT

Solution

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error happens because a driver references a memory address which does not exists or is paged out (a.k.a. page fault) at IRQL level 2 or higher, at that level no page fault may occur because the system doesn't allow a page fault to occur within a non-paged area.
