Don't get an FX series CPU for a gaming rig. In a gaming rig you want to spend at least double on the graphics card that you do on the CPU. I suggest looking at something like:
Pentium Gxxx CPU
Cheapest board that has all the features you need
Nvidia 560Ti if you can find a good deal or Radeon 6850,6870,6950 or 7850 whatever you can find the best deal on.
8Gb (2x4) RAM you don't need more on a budget gaming rig
Only get an SSD if there is cash spare after everything else its nice to have but only helps loading times not gaming.
PSU 500W good make
Case whatever you like.

I've fixed the build for you :)

if Im willing to spend a $100 extra what should I upgrade I was thinking about the processor and is intel better than AMD for gaming or what?

Intel is much better for gaming than AMD.

Check the hierarchy chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

And the card you picked is almost twice as slow as the one I picked.
