A nice build with FX 6300, Liquid Cooling, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 and SSD. Great for gaming at a budget. The AMD FX 6300 when overclocked under the liquid cooler will much perform at around 4.5 GHz on all 6 cores then 3.5 GHz at 2 cores/4threads despite lower IPC giving better performance than the i3 6100 at the same price. However you give up CPU upgrading.
16 GB RAM allows you to multitask if you need to run multiple clients to farm in games, or listen to music on youtube while playing multiple browser games.
The GTX 1060 gives 20% better performance then the RX 480 in the $200 range, but does not have SLI support. But better performance per dollar.
An SSD improves overall system feel and speeds up boot times and Disk IO by a lot, improving user experience over a Hard Disk.
What matters is the user experience. Please dont bash me saying that "i3 6100 has better single thread" or "RX 480/GTX 1070 can crossfire" as most casual gamers do not need 100+fps on a 60 Hz screen and dont use extreme GPUs. Furthermore SLI or Crossfire dont work on all games and is quite a hassle.
