So, I want to start video creation and editing with a buddy as a hobby. Possibly stream to twitch.tv and upload to YouTube as well. What we need though, is a computer that can handle both AAA Title games, recording for audio and video simultaneous with the gaming (I might try a separate camera, not sure yet) and I would also need the computer to be able to have a capture card, and be able to run editing software. I am assuming I will need at least one MIDI port, a couple of USB ports, and a HDMI port. I don't think I will need a disk drive, I'm not planning on running dvd's or bluray.

So what I am asking is, based on that, can you help me build a computer? What I will need, why I need it. Specifics are even more helpful!

And if it can be water cooled, I have a buddy who has set those up a few times. I just don't know the benefits/disadvantages of it.

Not quite sure on budget yet. Id prefer to keep it low, but probably $1,000-$1,500 to start.
And the capture card is because I will be trying to record from an iPad 4, where the highest quality solution for recording I have seen has been through using the apple lightning to hdmi adapter, which would need a capture card to record on the computer. Unless I was to go with Mac, in which case I would just plug it in.

Although I have always owned PC for computers and laptops, while mobile I have always gone Apple. I prefer PC over Mac.

EDIT: thinking about it, the capture card can come later, as long as there's an open express port to add one, so that isn't in the budget.

This is a really great PC, you got a 6700k which is great for multitasking and rendering, plenty of RAM (16GB of DDR4) And a really powerfull graphics card so that you can play pretty much everything on high or ultra settings.

You could choose to go with a more expensive GTX 980ti if you want to and can afford it.

You can also add one more of these which can be really nice if you are going to record alot.

And this SSD might also be a nice addition to your PC if to speed up boot times and loading times in games.

As for the capture card, i have honestly no idea what is a good capture card. I know that there is a brand called 'Elgato' which i guess makes good capture cards but i have no experience whatsoever with the brand or capture cards in general.

Note: The build does not have a windows license. If you need one you have to add one which costs about 80-100 $
