Hi guys.

I'm moving to the US next week and staying for a year. I wan't to bring back to my country a gaming PC, so I wanna know which parts can/should I already buy and which ones should I wait to buy so I can get better/newer versions. My parents will visit me probably in April, and I wanna send some stuff with them already, like case, cooling parts...

So here is the build I got so far:
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vcdrqs
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vcdrqs/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Micro Center)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($139.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($129.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($99.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB DirectCU II Video Card ($479.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($114.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ OutletPC)
OS: Windows 8.1 ($0, my University give us Windows keys )
Total: $1394.89

I've never built a PC before. I did some research, but I'm not really sure everything is compatible and is the best choice.

Like I said in the title, my budge is $1500. If I can low the price of my current build in order to get the Asus VG248QE monitor it would be perfectly.

I have a notebook witch a Nvidia GPU, so I prefer Nvidia over AMD cause I love how my games look while Physx is active, but I'm a beginner so you can maybe show me why AMD would be a better choice. If it does... Also, I love the looking of this NZXT case and really wanna take this one, but I'm open-minded. I have no preference for the other parts and respective brands.

I don't plan on doing any upgrade in the next 5 years or more, PC parts are so overpriced in my country, so I need to stick with what I get here for a long time. I'll try to get some Overclocks, but nothing too advanced.

Thanks and sorry if I forgot any information.

That build looks pretty good! The only thing I would change would be to get the EVGA or Gigabyte card over the Asus and then up your RAM speed to DDR3-2133 or DDR3-2400 but otherwise that's it. You could also scale back the storage a bit and up your cooler to something like a Corsair H100i or NZXT Kraken X61.

You could also add a 850W version of the G2 and then SLI that 780 later on.

Are you planning to overclock cpu or SLI your gpu? If you don't, get the non-k cpu and lower the mainboard and ram it should save more money. Another part it's great, 780 asus DCUII it's amazing gpu, phantom 410 it's gorgeous case
And also maybe switch the ssd with 120gb i think it's enough for just operating system :)
And this is my pick for comparison

Why would you downgrade the PSU? Why not leave it as is for a future SLI / Crossfire setup? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

So this is what I got now guys:
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/X2zXVn

Total: $1432.87

I stick with the GTX 780 cause when overclocked it seems much better than the AMD imo. I stick with Asus model too, cause I think it has the best cooling system, I don't see why should I go with the EVGA or Gigabyte version, can you guys tell me the pros and cons when comparing to the Asus version?

Other than that, any other changes you guys would do?

And what about the cooling system in the case? Should I buy other fans to get a better air flow? And will the H100i fit my case?

Also, you guys didn't say anything about the question at the beginning of my topic: I wanna know which parts can/should I already buy and which ones should I wait till July 2015 to buy, so I can get better/newer versions. My parents will visit me probably in April, and I wanna send some stuff with them already, like case, cooling parts...

Well the answer to that is: we don't know. It's pointless to begin planning a rig out this far in advance because by the time you're ready to buy new CPUs and GPUs will be out.

I'm sorry if my question seemed pointless, I know new nvidia GPUs will be released in march next year, I was talking mainly about cooler, case, storage, memory and psu. I don't know how often these parts are updated and what can change in new versions. Can I buy it already? Will the prices for these parts go down next year?

Buying it early will help me to control my finances, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks for the answers
