Hey Folks,
I was wondering if anyone could help me get a set up for building my first gaming PC.
I don't really know much about it at all.
I was looking to spend about $950 USD
I want to be able to run most games at decent settings to look good.
I mostly will plan to play siege, red alert, C&C, starcraft and probably some other high demanding games in the future.
I want something that won't be useless by the end of the year.

Solution
Do you need the peripherals or monitor?

I would use the Ryzen 1600 as a placeholder for 3rd Gen (More cores/threads and a much higher clock speed). Can be found for $80 at Microcenter.

(Aftermarket cooler is much quieter then stock one) This build would handle 1080P/1440P gaming well.

Ok so the second build I posted. I updated the build with a better monitor, 1080P/75hz/IPS and supports Freesync so you should be able to use it with the Nvidia GPU with newer drivers. Also changed the motherboard to better suit your budget.
Will this be able to run something like metro exodus at high settings? I don't plan on buying this game but would it be able to run something like that at like 4k?
