need help building my gaming computer

Hello everyone
I'm Blake and this is my second build but my last build was almost 10 years ago so I need some help. My budget is 2,000 to 2,500 would like to have a high end gaming system if possible. I would like to go with closed system liquid cooling and as for a case it don't really matter to me what it looks like as long as it fits everything into it .
As for the monitor was looking at getting the 2560x1440 which i would be upgrading from a 1080x1920.

I live in the US in Ohio
i have 1 monitor but i want another. as for speakers i have some good ones already.
OS ill be using windows 10. I would be fine with overclocking.

The monitor I picked is actually a UHD monitor, it's just below 4K with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The build is also ready made for a second GTX 980ti in the future, the PSU will be more than capable of handling 2 GTX 980ti's, so if you do decide to get a second one, you won't have to do anything aside from just get the GPU.

thank you very much was wondering if instead of the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card
I go with 2 EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card (2-Way SLI)
not sure if its better or not but was wondering because for a while i have been looking around and seen that this card seems to be pretty good as well and i can get 2 for the price of the 980

The difference in performance, from what I've read, is about a 5-10% difference in favor of the GTX 970 SLI. However, the additional 2GB (or 2.5, arguably) is helpful, and the single GTX 980ti opens up the option for SLI GTX 980ti's in the future.
