Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this, this is my first post on this web site so I'm sorry if I make mistakes and I hope i'm in the right section lol.

So as the title says I want to build a new gaming rig for 3000$ CND I sold my old one so I'm in a hurry to get this one going.

I want it finished this month for sure. I have two requests, one no AMD what so ever I know some people like it and I know it has it's ups but I tried it and will never be going back or at least not on this rig. and I want as much power without over clocking, I plan on using three monitors ( BenQ RL2455HM 24-Inch 1080p ) I currently have a xonar phobus in my basement that I would love to add to this build it's kind of important .

Here is what I have for now:

Case: storm trooper http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119245

power supply: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139044

Mobo: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131858

CPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116940

RAM: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148661

first hard drive: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147247

Second hard drive: already owned

Graphics card: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121724

Optical drive: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

3000$ does not include the screens and I need an OS I don't need more then 16GB of ram I will probably only go with Win 7 home

What's your opinion on my build? what do you suggest?

Thank you.

Solution
I don't want to sounds mean man but all of this is soooo wrong, you have a 1155 socket mobo with a 2011 cpu, you do not need 2011 socket or i7 for gaming. No one really needs a titan, you would be much better doing sli with some 780's as 1 780 can out perform a titan anyway. I will redesign this for you and you can tell me anything you want to change on it and we shall see if we can get you a nice gaming rig :)

edit: would you like to custom water cool it?

I will be doing this myself so I have no idea how to liquid cool I would prefer air cool I do all my gaming in my basement where it never goes past 17 degrees Celsius and the reason I want a I7 is because I usually sell off my computers after a while and people are not interested in i5 even though it's all you need for gaming

Overclocks well.
Dual GTX 780. It's the same price as a titan but much, much stronger.
Bigger SSD.

Solution

reason I do not want to over clock is I do not know how and do not want to break everything lol I like the build only thing I would change is the motherboard I have something with both Msi and GIGABYTE

Gigabyte is one of the best motherboard maker on the market right now. However, if you do despise them, then you can opt for a different one:
ASRock Z87 Extreme4 - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z87extreme4

Also, at this budget, overclocking is much advised. You don't have to overclock right away, you can wait a bit while you read guides on how to overclock. Overclocking is fairly easy. Just be careful with the voltage. Don't stupidly bump the voltage to an insane level like 1.5v.

Alright I will look into over clocking my computer I like the processor choice and I think it's obvious I should go for sli 780s. and what I used to use in my builds were sabertooth Mobo's what do you think of those? Last question is would that mother board you just recommended capable of holding both 780s + the sound card?

lol, thats what we can squeeze out of $3000:

the closed loops water cooling is easy to install but if you like It could be subbed out for a Noctua DH-N14 or the phantecks cooler above

Hope you like 3 way GTX 780's 😀

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone for helping me out with this, what I did was a little mash up of the builds and added in a few parts of everyone Now I had a mini change in my budget which no longer allowed me to have the 3 GTX 780s BUT if it's easy to add on a third card later on I will be doing it ( Month of January ) So here is my build http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Y4FZ I was wondering if someone could tell me how easy it is to add on a 3rd graphics card, do I need to do something special for 3 way sli? do most games allow 3 way Sli? AND one more question would be would it be possible to add my sound card with the 3 graphics cards? Worse case I will be making a modification on my audio selection, I hear that Logitech has good gaming headsets. I actually have 1 last question, many have used Windows 8 in their builds I would like to know why? I was told there was not much of a performance difference so why should I go with it? I have tried it a few times and was not a big fan but if it makes a big performance difference for games ten I will be going for it.

I'm really liking the build! lol when making a build with PcPartPicker are taxes always included?

generally yeah, glad you like my ability to make OP builds 😉

DO NOT GRAB A THIRD GTX 780. Three way SLI/crossfire scales extremely bad. It's highly likely that you won't notice a performance from 2-way to 3-way sli. You're practically going to be throwing money away.
With that said, drop the psu down to the XFX 850w I recommended above. It can handle 2-way sli GTX 780 and has headroom for overclocking.
I would stick with air cooling. The Corsair H100i performs just a little better than the Phanteks heatsink posted above but the Phanteks is cheaper and quieter. It's a better buy.

There's no point of the Samsung 840 Pro. It's significantly more expensive, and compared to the EVO you won't notice the speed difference.

I would rather go with a 1440p monitor over a triple monitor set-up. The image quality is beautiful: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-pb278q
However, if you insist on a triple monitor set-up, I would rather go with an IPS monitor for better image quality: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vs239hp

Edit: Tax is not included in PCPP unless you add a zip code to it. So it doesn't include tax because we don't know your zip code.

with a 3 monitor setup you can individually connect gpu's allowing for better performance and I didn't put an 840 pro in...?
I also like the phanteks cpu heatsink however the H100i does offer a more aesthetically pleasing setup with a nice performance value

OP put the 840 Pro in.
The H100i is more aesthetically pleasing, but think about what you're losing. It's louder, more expensive, and there is a chance of leaking.

Uhh..With a three monitor set-up, you don't hook up one gpu per monitor. Since it's all in SLI, you only use the first gpu for the connections. So in this case, whether it be 2-way or 3-way SLI, OP can only use the first gpu for all 3 connections.
Again, 3-way SLI scales very poorly.

Alright so I went with http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Y60U ignore the screens I have not yet made a decision I want to go the the 3 Asus BUT one problem is I do not know if it is possible to mount them on this stand
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Triple-LCD-Monitor-Desk-Stand-Mount-Free-Standing-Adjustable-3-Screens-upto-24-/360780382042?pt=US_Monitor_Mounts_Stands&hash=item54002fbf5a&_uhb=1

Or if you have an other 3 screen stand to suggest that would be great.

And last of all is the Win 7 vs Win 8.1 which one should I take and why? I would love to have some feed back on that!

Thanks.

Yes that Vesa mount will work with the IPS Asus 1080p monitor.

I would personally go with Windows 8.1 because it's simply better. It's newer so you have a longer support period as well as better security and some other neat perks. If you have tried out the metro screen and dislike it, Windows 8.1 has implemented the feature to skip the metro screen on boot to make all of their customers happy.
