Hey folks!

So as the title points, I'm going to be building my first ever gaming PC =D ...and I want it to be pretty top of the line. I've already chosen out the components. Basically, I just have a few questions/concerns I need addressed (listed below the parts list) but of course any other suggestions and thoughts are welcome. Please note: for a few of the components, I have multiple listings because I haven't made up my mind just yet. Thank you all in advance for the help!! =)

Chassis:
Thermaltake Versa N21 Translucent Panel ATX Mid Tower Window Gaming Computer Case
Enermax Ostrog GT ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Acrylic See-Thru Side Panel
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-ALPHA Mid-Tower Gaming Case
Rosewill ATX Case Mid Tower Computer Case Gaming Computer Case GUNGNIR, Black/Red
Xigmatek Shockwave EN5988 Black Steel/ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Motherboard:
MSI Intel Z97 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z97S SLI Krait Edition)
MSI Gaming Intel Z97 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z97 Gaming 5)

CPU:
Intel Core BX80646I74790K i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz)
GPU:
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4991-KR 6GB GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card X2 (SLI)
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-1996-KR 6GB HYBRID GAMING, "All in One" No Hassle Water Cooling, Just Plug and Play Graphics Card X2 (SLI)
RAM:
Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black
Storage (HDD):
Seagate Constellation ES 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3 GB/s 64 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Hard Drive
Storage (SSD):
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD
Power Supply:
EVGA 120-G2-1000-XR 80 PLUS GOLD 1000 W 10 yr Warranty Fully Modular NVIDIA SLI Ready and Crossfire Support continuous Power Supply
Monitor:
Dell Ultra HD 4K Monitor P2415Q 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

So based on these components, this is what I can't figure out:
1. Are there any glaring/obvious issues that I've missed?
2. Are these components compatible?
3. Is the power supply enough?
4. Will either of the motherboard fit? And will the screws holes lines up once I stick the board inside the chassis? (The Thermaltake Versa N21 Translucent Panel ATX Mid Tower Window Gaming Computer Case and MSI Intel Z97 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z97S SLI Krait Edition) are my first choices for case and mobo)
5. Is the chassis size (all mid-towers) appropriate? So is it big enough for GTX 980 Ti SLI? And is it big enough that heat won't build up and cook everything inside?
6. Cooling issues: how many fans should I get? Should I get water cooling (with all the fancy tubes)?

I realize that was a lot of info so again, thanks for all the help guys!

Thanks for the reply!

I thought about getting an i7-6700k as well, but I've been told the 4790k edges it slightly and a bit cheaper too. What does "axial+blower" mean?
