Question Need help buying a monitor

Hello,
my pc right now is:Intel core i5-4440 @ 3.10GHz,12 gb ram DDR3,gtx 1060 6 gb.
Now I have two asus vc239 monitors that are 1920x1080,and I'm looking to buy a third one.I would like to play on 2560x1080 resolution and 29 inch monitor.How would my gaming be then?Should I upgrade my cpu?I heard if you playon a higher resolution then the gpu takes more then the cpu,is that correct?

Playing at a higher resolution taxes the GPU way more, if you have a low end CPU this can be helpful. With the 1060 I would probably wouldn't game above 1440p.

So,playing games on 1440p would be going smooth as would be if I'm playing on 1080p cuz the gpu then taxes more?My other option is a 27 inch monitor that is 1080p,would you recommend me staying still on 1080p cuz of the rig system?I'm just concerned if I play on 1440p that I would get below 60 fps.
