Question Need help buying budget keyboard and mouse combo for gift

Hey guys, I'm trying to find an entry-level keyboard/mouse package as a gift for a nephew. I've only really dealt with higher end stuff, and I don't want to get him something expensive for his first setup.

I've been looking at some packages and combinations, I'd like to keep it under $100 USD. Does anyone have experience with Redragon products?

Most of these look garbage in this range, although I do like the convenience of getting them both in one package as I can mail it over and have my brother easily wrap it. A mechanical keyboard would be preferred which is why I might opt for the Redragon package. Any thoughts on good combos?

I actually just bought the Redragon K580 and am very pleased with it. It uses outemu switches which def aren't as nice as Cherry but for the price are excellent IMO. Another nice thing is that to my knowledge Redragon keyboards RGB and Macros(if it has macros) can all be programed from the keyboard itself without special software.

As for a mouse, I have a Corsair M65 and love it, mainly because the Corsair CUE software is among the best but my friend has a Redragon Mouse and seems to like it.

Consider a wireless bundle.

I just purchased the Logitec MK 320 wireless keyboard and mouse bundle.

On sale at Staples for $25.00 (USD). Plain vanilla sans whistles and bells...

Younger family members sometimes use the keyboard and mouse so I tend to think "expendable...".

How old and how responsible is your nephew? Especially when he is losing or loses a game. Keyboards get smashed all too often....

There are higher priced bundles. Probably a better long term choice for gaming and use by an older child.
