I use HP Pavilion P7-1534 (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03673337), and i figure i want to change my parts around, and since this is my first time doing it i need some help.
First off, I'm really new to all computer languages and stuff so, I need some clarifications for the words you guys use.

So anyways, I've done little research and found out Geforce gtx 970, and before getting it I wanted to know if it would fit the desktop (size wise).
Also for the CPU, I've thought about getting Amd fx-8350 eight-core processor.
But as I said, I'm noob to all computer components, building parts etc. So I need your help.
And if i need other stuffs too, I'm open for recommendations, budgets dont matter.
Thank you.

Solution
FX is not compatible with your system. GTX 970 would be bottlenecked by any compatible CPU you could use. You basically need to start over. You could reuse ram, HDD, and optical drive, to save some money, but that is about it.

First of all, if you are going to get that CPU, you will need to get a new motherboard for that. The GTX 970 is nice, im not sure if it would fit in your case because it doesnt seem to say the max GPU lenght on that webiste that you linked. Your power supply will be too bad to handle your new parts. you will need to get a 600W+ power supply for your new parts. I would say that you should build a new computer since the only thing youre missing is the new case ( the ram and the cd reader you can get from your old computer). It would be alot easier since the case isnt that good and you would still need to buy pretty much everything new for upgrading.

So, if i need to build new computer, will you recommend me some good websites?
And as I mentioned above, I'm really noob at building/ buying parts so, what exact of motherboard do i need?
And also, do I just need any 600W+power supply?
And I'm really sorry but, what do you mean buy case?

I'm so sorry for keep asking so many questions.
Thank you so much.

Newegg and amazon are good for buying parts. You will need a AM3+ based motherboard. And i you will be fine with a 650W power supply or so.. I would recommend power supply brands like Seasonic, XFX or EVGA. Case is the thing where you put your parts :D You will need a new one because the case that you have now is kinda bad. Then one thing i would recommend you to buy too is a CPU cooler. I highly recommend a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. It will keep your new processor cool :) And no problem, its good that you ask things :D

I actually dont have a exact budget right now and what I'm trying to do is set a "goal" first so that I can buy the parts later.
Also, what kind of case do i need to buy to fit all these?

by the way guys, thank you so much for helping me out
really appreciated :D
