[SOLVED] Need help buying ram

Hi everyone

I decided that I want to upgrade from 12 GB to 16 GB of ram. I'm not entirely sure what memory speed and what kind of memory my system can maximally support.

It'd be nice if you could tell me what memory I should go for to get the maximum out of my system. Other tips are welcome as well.

Your motherboard supports up to 16GB of RAM (4x4GB), however, optimal performance is achieved using a triple channel configuration (3x4GB) which you already have. I would not recommend making any changes (other than building a new system).

I would use a module similar to the other 3x you have. Moving up to 16GB will be better than 12GB even if it affects the speed of the memory.
