Need help calibrating my monitor...

Hello.

I have a desktop pc with Asus MS238H monitor.However,colors of anything,pictures,videos,any kind of visuals are very different compared to my Toshiba laptop's,which I prefer.
I've tried adjusting brightness and contrast,but can't seem to catch the same vibe.I was wondering if there is some way I can "export" the monitor settings from the laptop and apply it to the Asus Monitor?


My main concern is,I'll be using the desktop for academic graphic works,and the difference between printed picture and the visual on monitor makes it unreliable...

Nope.

Also, using a color profile meant for a monitor generally does not work well since the monitors would be setup differently. Even getting a color profile from the exact same brand name and model the results may not be perfect (good results, but not perfect) since there are some variations with monitors rolling off the same production line.
