I plan to SLI/CROSSFIRE down the road (not sure what the difference is) so i want some room. I also want good cooling. This is my first build and the number of cases and options is kinda overwhelming.

Solution
Personally yes. As you said You plan to run crossfire with your ATI/AMD cards this should give you plenty of free space and automatically help with cooling. and keep in mind that you can use this case for future build after couple of years without much problem as the Mobo are built in standard sizes.
and most important thing they looks cool and badass

[strike]I created a pretty much Same config PC about 3-4 months ago. If you have space and don't might bulky PC go with "Cooler Master HAF X - Full tower ". i will allow a lot of free space for anything in future.

though this is a metal case..
it weigh heavy as hell.
and big wouldn't normally fit in a Computer desk CPU space..

it looks cool
has enough space for future(whatever you wanna do)
comes with cool led lighting's
and comes with (200mm exhaust roof, 200mm intake window, 140mm exhaust at back, 230mm intake at front) and space to add another 140 and 120 mm fan if needed.

price tag:-expensive around $150 [/strike]

so i would crap the idea above and go with a decent half tower for around $50-55

I suggest the Antec 900. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021) I own an antec case and they look sleek, are spacious, have multiple high quality fans, and are reliable. The Antec 900 is 100$ and is the highest rated case on newegg.

is getting a full tower too much space or is it something that i would benifit from having better cooling, extra room, longer lifetime with upgrades - but having to deal with wires not reaching places by purchasing extensions

Nope.. Wire length should be fire even for a Full Tower without a problem. almost 100% of components are made in though with the fact that they will be used in full tower as well. full-tower will provide more space so wire wouldn't have to be bend through/around component.

final question:
being the perfectionist that i am, do you think i should try to find another case that has a window?

I think I did originally suggested coolmaster half x full tower. That one has a window for your interest at round same price ranges. Give it a look and decide as window is only to admire your great setup and show-off to other people. Have a look around window willy not increase performance just self- satisfaction . Which is as important.

There are plenty in market have a look around and go for the one you like as why to hold back I don't see a reason, if you like window go for it.

Hi, huntx23!
Did you buy this combination F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL and P8Z77-V LK? Is that working ok?
I just bought the same combination and I'm having problems here in order to make it boot with all the memory sticks (the MB only boot with 1, 2 or 3 slots but not 4)

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/315883-30-p8z77-recognizes-12gb-16gb-memory

Please, let me know if you are using this hardware with no problems, it will help me anyway to find out a solution.
