i currently have an i9 10900k on the way (should arrive in a few days or so) i didnt think i would actually get an order in so now i need to hurry up and pick the rest of the parts for a build and i need a bit of help.
i currently have a pc with i7 4790k and a gtx 1080 but i might as well build an entirely new pc at this point instead of keeping the old case and psu.
what i mainly need help with is choosing a good motherboard and case for my new build. However, advice on ram, psu, and cpu cooler would be much appreciated.
I was thinking of an AIO liquid cooler but not sure which are reliable, this would be my first time getting a water cooler.
For motherboard i was looking at maybe the MSI MPG z490 gaming edge but im not super knowledgable when it comes to motherboards so i would like some advice before i get it. If there's a mother board that's more worth it and not much more expensive i might be able to stretch a little more for it. My current pc has an msi z97 gaming 5 which is why i went look at MSI boards for the new build.
I would also like some help choosing a pc case as i didnt even choose the one i had, preferbly one with a little more room that the one i have (NZXT h440) because i have to slide my 1080 in at an angle to get it in or out. and i plan on getting a 3080 eventually and from what i heard will be physically bigger than the 1080.
Also its pretty much a given with most boards but i will need the case and motherboard to support a lot of storage drives, i currently have an m.2 ssd, regular ssd, and 3 HDDs im gonna transfer over to the new pc.
If yall could recommend a good 32GB ram kit that would nice, otherwise i would just buy the first one i see that seems decent.
And the last thing i would like a bit of advice with is what PSU to get, i was looking to maybe a 1000w so i can have extra room to add more to it since the new parts im getting already have a higher powerdraw than the build i have right now.
