Question Need help choosing a GPU and CPU

I am getting a ASUS VG278Q monitor and I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for a CPU and GPU, I will be mainly playing FPS shooters like Modern Warfare, etc. If you could just put it in a list of some good choices, thank you. (the CPU will have to be a Intel processer)

We need to know:
a) A list of your current system specs
b) Your budget
c) The age and model of your PSU
d) Are you trying to upgrade the CPU on your current motherboard or are you buying a new CPU for a new motherboard? If you are keeping your old motherboard, we have to know what kind it is because only 2 generations of CPUs will be compatible with it.
