need help choosing an SSD

hello everyone,

i am in the market for a SSD with 240-50GB for under 200.00. i did check out the SSD charts in here and they they offered the sandisk extreme pro as the best performance budget drive. has anyone have any experience with drive and if it is reliable or not. just wanting to know because the sandisk has a better read data rate.

thanks

The differences are in benchmarks.... good for bragging rights but little else. If you had the fastest one and I snuck in and switched it with one 20 rungs down the chart, you wouldn't notice.

The "economy drive" below for example, I have used in budget builds and using them no one can tell the difference between that and the 850 pros.
$88 240 GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226679

But if ya want a 5 year instead of 3 year warranty.... that's a good part of the price premium ya pay for those

500 GB Samsung 850 Evo - $198 is what I'm recommending at this point

I own MULTIPLE SanDisk Extreme Pros. Both the 480GB and the 960GB models. I have been running them for about a year now and have not experienced any trouble of any kind. Performance, for me and what I do, is more than acceptable. I find nothing wrong with them and would not hesitate to recommend them, and I have, to both family and friends.

thank you for the help guys.

i went for the 250GB 850 evo and was able to find it foe 120 CAN before tax. the 500GB version for 199 would have put me over budget when taxes get involved. it will make for a good OS drive and when i am able to upgrade again i'll probably be able to find a 1TB drive for 199
