As the title reads, I need help choosing a GPU. This is my first build. I am willing to spend 200 dollars on the graphics card (max) but I am more looking for 150 range. This build is almost 100% for Skyrim.

199 after rebate. That will play skyrim nicely with this build.

If thats too much then second best is

Just to give you some help I play skyrim with an amd set up. I am running an xfx 6870 2GB model, 4 gigs of 800mhz ddr2 ram, and an am3 965 black edition@4ghz. I never dip below 60 fps in skyrim, ever @ max launcher settings. Once I got into water, texture, mountain and flora mods I started to dip between 30-60 depending on if I am in a warzone or not. This is on a quad core amd processor though clocked @ 4ghz. So my processor is better and so is my video card but radeon cards are terrible with skyrim as the game is nvidia optimized...

Depending on if you can OC you processor a bit, you should be able to run max settings 40-60 I'd imagine. Vanilla of course.

just an update, I bought the 660. Best decision ever :pt1cable: . I get around 120 fps, which is great because I only have a 60 Hz monitor.

As I thought, that 660 would run these very well; check out http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ and get 4k texture mods / enb lighting mods to get skyrim looking amazing, enjoy!
