Need help choosing GPU as well as making sure system is good enough for video Editing

Im building a computer for someone who is planning on using it professionally for video editing. My first question is, he is going to use Avid Media Composer, as well as creative cloud. So, for the GPU, which one should i go with? Im not too familiar with video editing software and what they truly require, but I'm getting a better understanding. So, I think I have every other part in check, im just not sure what GPU to get him with the software provided. Also, on the topic of other parts in check, I would love it if someone were able to take a look at the parts and make sure it is satisfactory for video editing. Im a gamer, not an editor, so again i dont know much. lol. He gave me a $1.5k budget, and right now im sitting at around $1.43k USD.

He/She's right. Just make sure your PSU is powerful enough, the 6700k is definetly enough to suit your needs. I'd go with a 1060 as they're cheap ($249 right now) and are as good as a 980Ti more or less.
