Hello,

trying to decide on the motherboard for my new 7800x3d; 7800xt build. I was already settled on ASRock X670E PG Lightning (290eur) when I stumbled across these ASUS options.
Where I like they cost:
Prime X670E-Pro 350eur
ROG STRIX X670E-A 360eur

I find very contrasting views regarding these two boards but they do seem to be better value than ASrock. Any thoughts - which one's better ? It's a gaming oriented rig.

Thank you

If you look at the audio chip on the boards, the ASRock is at the bottom of the barrel while ASUS's ROG board has the highest REALTEK audio chip on it.

What sort of features are you looking for on your board's purchase? Fan headers? Audio? Storage options? If it's just to build a system, in the long run ASRock's board will get the job done.

Thanks for the answer.
I like quality and efficiency (that's why I am looking at X670 and not b650),
I would prefer a well constructed board, something that wouldn't cause any problems for years to come as I am not qualified to fix them..
My needs are otherwise minimal - good gaming performance, good cooling (I live in a hot country) and general multitasking (youtube, music, light work).
Storage - I will start with 2TB SSD and maybe in the far future add another ssd.
Audio - I do listen a lot, and have nice speakers but don't require professional grade, I am sure either one will do just fine.

I guess for me the question is whether 50-60eur increase for ROG over ASRock is noticeable in build quality/general future-proofing (aside from audio)

My current consideration list:
315eur ASRock X670E Pro RS
289eur ASRock X670E PG Lightning
450eur ASRock X670E Steel Legend
362eur Asus ROG Strix X670E-A Gaming WIFI
310eur Asus TUF Gaming X670E-PLUS

Just looking for best value
