Hi,

I have been using the same old screen for 6 years and old samsung syncmaster '19'inch monitor. I am now looking for a new IPS monitor for gaming/office/movies and a bit of future proofing without going over the 250£ barrier.
My gpu is an a r9 270

My selection came down to these monitors

Dell u2414h - 175£
Dell u2415 - 225£
Dell u2515h - 250£

The bold one has the best gaming performance over all according to tft central and is 16:10, 1200p. However, u2515h is only about 30£ more and 1440p.

I dont wont a screen wider than 25 as i have seen 27 and there just to wide for gaming.

So, would i loose out much if just went for the cheapest option (1080p) or should i pick one of the other 2?

Or are there other monitors worth mentioning that i am not aware of?
And finally, as i mainly game should i focus more upon and 144hz TN instead? and compromise the colours? Viewing angles dont worry me as i will be sitting in front of the screen.

All help and opinion welcome.

I use an LG 29ea93 ultra wide. IPS, purely SICK quality and the added viewing angle of 2560x1080 is awesome in many games!

This is the video they used to promo it btw:

I have seen the best picks of the month but im looking for a "gaming" IPS monitor.
Unless someone knows a TN panel with similar colour reproduction as an ips with all the gaming benefits such as the asus vg248qe and not overpriced (250£) then the list compiled is very stricted.
