Easily. The 280x is very capable at gaming near high to ultra settings. If you want to see how it performs go to youtube and search " FX 8320 and R9 280x". These will be recorded gameplays so expect the performance to be higher than what you see.

Wow you weren't kidding. I watched a crysis 3 video with the same GPU and CPU and it was on max settings. It looked very clean and the guy who recorded it said he had an average of 50 fps.
