Hello, i need help, i cant decide if i´ll be better off with reference blower type GPU or aftermarket cooler GPU.

Please take a good look at my rig and advice me the best you can.
I only use my PC for gaming.
I´m trying to get the lowest temp on my GPU´s so they don´t throttle down because of the heat.
I won´t OC them.

I´d also like to know if my PSU will be enough.

I´ve only got a week to decide which model to buy.

I can only get these two models where I live.

2 GTX 980 TI GIGABYTE (GV-N98TG1 GAMING-6GD) and SLI them

2 GTX 980 TI MSI (6GD5) and SLI them

My Rig.

Case: NZXT H630

https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/120-H630.html

- Front Coolers NZXT x 200 mm (2 of them) <=> pulling fresh air inside the case
- Rear Cooler NZXT x 140 mm (only one) <=> pushing hot air outside the case
- Bottom Cooler THERMALTAKE x 140 mm (only one) <=> pulling fresh air inside the case

CPU: I7 4770K overclocked at 4.0 Ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i (on top exhaust) <=> pushing hot air outside the case
Motherboard: Maximus GENE HERO VII
RAM: DDR3 GSkill 2x8GB 1866Mhz
SSD: Samsung EVO 850 120 GB
SSD: Samsung EVO 850 500 GB
HDD: WD 1TB Blue.
PSU: NZXT 850w HALE90 V2 Gold.

Thanks.

Solution
You should be okay. 850 watts is enough for two 980 Ti's in SLI. Power supply brand/model is borderline as it's listed as tier 3, but you should be fine. Two 980 Ti's in SLI has TDP of 500 watts, Maximus MB w/ 4770K overclock has load of 189 watts, and the Corsair cpu cooler is 12 watts. Keep in mind that TDP numbers come about in extreme conditions, such as benchmarking. The 980 Ti figures are well known to all. The Maximum + 4770K figures are from real world testing and the H100i figures I got from calling Corsair technical support just a few moments ago. Please let us know when you complete your upgrade and how things work out. Pictures are always great =>

980 Ti (#1) - 250 watts TDP
980 Ti (#2) - 250 watts TDP
I7 4770K (cpu...

Ok, so .... you say I should get MSI reference cooler over GIGBYTE open air cooler.?
you mean my PSU won´t be enough or that it will be barely enough?

I would get the Gigabyte open air.

The PSU is just enough, considering this doesn't seem like a budget build, it may be worth it to spend a little more to get a higher rated or wattage PSU for overhead. Not sure what country you are in, but here in the states the same price of that NZXT there are many other PSUs available that are better. So I guess it depends what is available in your area.

980 Ti (#1) - 250 watts TDP
980 Ti (#2) - 250 watts TDP
I7 4770K (cpu only) - 84 watts TDP
Maximus GENE HERO VII + (mb + cpu) = (49 / 58 idle watts ) (120 / 189 load watts)
Corsair H100i / H100i GTX = 12 watts

Tier Three
Some Haswell compatible, some not (maybe unconfirmed). Still safe to use and stable, just lower quality components. Some capacitors maybe Japanese, but can include the Taiwanese capacitors. Not really ideal in serious overclocking or super-high load situations, such as a Bitcoin mining rig or a high end gaming system.
