Need help choosing some pc parts

Hello,
I am building for the first time and unsure about a couple of parts. I plan on gaming at 1080 maxed setting and would like it to last a couple of years.

I’m not to sure if I should go with the Asus - ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING motherboard or go with the Asus - TUF Z390-PRO GAMING motherboard? Would paying the extra be worth it and would one be better for future upgrades?
I am unsure if I should go for the Asus rog strix rtx 2060 oc, Evga rtx 2060 XC Ultra gaming or msi rtx 2060 gaming z?
Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Why not switch to the r5 2600, save yourself some dosh on the CPU and board and up to a 2070?

I kept the 1TB SSD in however you can get a bit more space if you went 500gb SSD + 2TB HDD for roughly the same price.

Any reason why? Zotac does make good GPU's and this dual fan version is pretty good as the fans overlap the PCB. The 10XX versions of this GPU ran cool and fast.

Well just aesthetically by the looks of the original build the guy wants RGB. Which that card has none or not much I can’t remember.

Secondly they’re not exactly well made. I got a Zotac 1070FE and that was so broken it ramped up to 100% fan speed on the desktop after 1 day even when I reset everything. If he has the money a good card from MSI or Asus would be preferable. Also if you get the same board and GPU you can sync the RGB with less fuss.

Any of those are solid cards, go with whatever you like and fits within your budget as the differences between them are pretty minimal.

It really looks like it comes to to what you want it to look like. If you want RGB which by the looks of things you do, I’d match the Board and GPU make so you have to deal with one fewer pieces of bloatware.

People have basically been saying don’t get an Intel platform go AMD. Why are you asking about the Intel boards?

If your looking for any sort of "future-proofing" your best bet is the AMD AM4 socket as AMD is using it until 2020. With Coffeelake/Refesh it's using the 1151 socket (used in Kaby/Skylake) but I doubt it'll last longer then the current 9th gen CPU's now.

I understand what your saying about the the boards. I know you mentioned the 2070 earlier on, but is the 2070 worth the extra price and performance over the 2060?

At 1080P the 2060 would be fine but honestly if the 2700X/RTX 2070 can be fit into your budget including the 1080P/144hz monitor I wouldn't even consider the 9600K.

It is cheaper to get a 2600 with a 2070 than a 9600 with a 2060. Plus the 2600/2070 would offer more performance and a better upgrade path.
