Additional Comments: My friend and I have never experienced Deticated GPU's when gaming. we have always played games on crappy laptops (I have a Toshiba Satellite L505D...AMD Turion (tm) || Dual Core M500 Mobile Processor with 4GB of RAM). As far as my friends laptop(not a desktop) goes, all i can remember is that it has a core i3..but i think its a lower end i3 because on system requirements lab it says that he cannot play the original Crysis, and on the other hand, it says that mine can. Anyway, Laptops are not very enjoyable when it comes to gaming, unless you turn down the settings to low. This will also be a PC for a YouTube channel that we have , called NuLuumo. We won't really start using it/being on it until the PC is built.
We are sharing this PC(We are going to need alot of Storage because of that), and we are both saving up for it (This is my first time building a PC). At the moment we are only getting $10 a week from doing chores, but in a couple months my friend will be able to help save with me, and it would be a total of $30 a week. (A equation that I came up with to find out a rough estimate of how long it would take to save up for everything is: the total divided by 30(30 dollars a week), divided again by 52, because there are 52 weeks in a year) I am 13 turning 14 soon and my friend is 14. We are both in 8th Grade
Another thing you guys need to know is that we are going to have Lots of mods installed to most of our games, and we will be turning up the settings on pretty much every game to as high as they can go, while still getting a constant 30+ FPS and no lower then 30, even though you can't gurentee that performance in every single game.
I know the new GPU's are coming out soon (800 and 8000/9000 series) but i dont want to wait that long. I also know that you guys would probably say to wait until you have a decent amount of money saved up and then look for the best parts at that time, but thats not what we are going to do. I have gone through 50+ part lists, always switching back and forth, not knowing what really fits us best. I want this to be the absolute final list for the PC. (which ever one I choose from your guy's advice)
I would like the PC to be portable(I guess it doesn't have to be small, even a big ATX case can be carried), have a window(Not really nessacary, but it would be nice to look inside and praise all the parts that i put together myself 😀 ), really nice efficent airflow/cooling. I would also like a wifi adapter added to this list. We are going to need 2 hard drives. One for Windows (All of our games, programs, etc..) and the other HDD for all of our YouTube Video Catigoried stuff (Fraps, Sony Vegas, etc) so i was thinking of 2x 2TB HDD's. As for RAM, i know that 8GB is enough for gaming, but i also want to do Game Design as a side project. I also know that Video Editing/Rendering uses RAM and CPU power up, so im thinking of 16GB of RAM, and a i7 4770K would be perfect(Compared to a 3570K/4670K, an i7 doesnt help much in gaming. but i have no idea how many videos we will have on our channel, but just to be safe, a i7 would make more sense for us).
Note: I know this is going to sound a bit picky, but i really dont want to be missing anything for this build. lately, i have even been checking unboxings of motherboards for how many sata cables come with it, because we would have 2 HDD's and a DVD drive, and if it only came with 2 sata cables, then you would only be able to connect two of those without buying another one. I am also picky with fan headers, because i wouldnt want a certain amount of fans in the case(such as 4, for an example) then only have 2 fan headers on the motherboard.
I'm very sorry that this is so long..Thank You to everyone in advance for all the help! but i really wanted to add everything that I had concerns about for this PC. If you guys have any additional questions, feel free to ask 😀
