•Desktop (new):
#Dell vostro 3670 mt pre-built desktop with i3 8100 processor, 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram, 1 tb hdd, intel b360 chipset, 290 w psu inside dell casing with dvd w/r, 18.5" dell monitor, integrated speaker + lan + wifi + Bluetooth, keyboard and mouse. All with 3 years of full warranty @ 37.5k($470)

# custom built: pentium gold g5400 8th gen, gigabyte b360m ds3h mobo, 2*4gb ddr4 ram, 1 TB Hdd, dell 18.5" monitor, normal atx casing, 350w thermaltake psu, wifi lancard, dvd w/r, normal keyboard, mouse & speaker. All have it's regular product warranty like 3yr for cpu, mobo, monitor; 2yr for psu, hdd, dvd w/r; lifetime for rams & no warranty for keyboard, mouse & casing. All together cost around 39,000 BDT ($490)

I want to know which one would be the appropriate one or do you prefer something else within a budget of 40k BDT($500)

Well, what do you want to use this system for? Gaming? Normal everyday usage.

There are some decent systems in there, but it depends on what you want to do with it.

I'd be looking at these:

#Hp envy 17 J005TX with i7 4700mq + 8gb ddr3 + 1 tb hdd + Nvidia GeForce 2gb gpu @25k($310)
#Dell vostro 3670 mt pre-built desktop with i3 8100 processor, 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram, 1 tb hdd, intel b360 chipset, 290 w psu inside dell casing with dvd w/r, 18.5" dell monitor, integrated speaker + lan + wifi + Bluetooth, keyboard and mouse. All with 3 years of full warranty @ 37.5k($470)

If you have gaming in mind, then one of those systems with a discrete card, or mobile card will have better gaming. THey are all really unbalanced. Can you link each one to the website so we can view them properly.

Thanks. But the used laptops are from local stores and they don't have a website but i entered almost all the details out of them. I'm from Bangladesh (near India). And the Dell pre-built is totally described here. It was also on a website but doesn't provide any more info. It's rams are hynix and for the mobo it only says intel b360 chipset with 2 slots.
***Use: i will be learning data science online and basic programming for the next 6 months and then machine learning for another 6 months. After that i will be building a portfolio on data science and look for a career in data science. Besides learning i will be just surfing the web, facebooking, watching anime on low resolution webhosts, watching movie on YouTube, watching English premier league games online, and very occasionally playing Dota2 on steam maybe 4-5 hours a week.

**As i am grounded now and hardly go out, laptop/desktop are alike for me except the fact that laptop will still be running when the power is out which is very frequent in our country. But again net connection will be out too when the power is cut.
If i go for a custom build with i3 8100 cpu then it costs me around 45000 BDT($565) which is way over my budget of $500. I know it's a little amount for you but in our country it's a huge amount and specially for me and i can't afford that right now.
