Just wondering what I should upgrade for my PC and I'm struggling to run more modern games on my current rig. I'm not very experienced in PC parts so I could use a hand.

Current Parts:
Motherboard: GA-78LMT-S2
GPU: Radeon RX 580
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Six Core Processor
Ram: 8Gb

I would like to know what the priority for upgrades would be here, as I know this is an outdated PC. Thanks for any and all help.

yip agree your RX 580 is a great gpu so that should be fine for the next few years. Your 780 board is now quite old even for AMD3+ chips. Cheapest option would be a Gigabyte 990x gaming with M.2 and a 8350 8 core chip about £150 ish using your current ram. Else you are talking serious money for cpu mobo and DDr4 ram. do you really need to upgrade that far? I run my 8350 with R9 290 and another with the RX 570 just fine at 1080i and like you considered a new system but why? not until I seriously consider 4k gaming and even then I would use upscaling rather than native 4k out of the box. Your board is Sata 2 and USB 2??? Yip a 990x with M.2 or a SSD with Sata 3 would be a massive upgrade speed wise

still a big processing upgrade. DDR 4 and a board that it runs on. the entry model Ryzen gives you myriad upgrade paths later and updated extensions some newer games require.
