Need help configuring a router

Hey im looking for some help setting my router to a static ip address and port forwarding my Xbox one, i gave it a try today and after i set my router to static ip address the router shortly stopped connecting to the dns server so can anyone help me set a static ip address to my router and the port forward my Xbox thanks.

my router is a netgear DGN2200

Sounds like you need to set your Xbox up with a static IP address and forward whatever the port is to the Xbox.

Set your router back to DHCP.
