Need help deciding Acer 4750G

hey guysss !

so i bought an acer 4750G 3-4 years back and somehow it's really slow at the moment. so i was thinking of ungrading it or get a new laptop. the specs are:

250gb hdd
gtx540m 1gb
2gb ram ddr3
windows 7 professional

Upgrading options:

1) hdd to ssd
2) 2gb ram to 4gb or 8gb ram.

but the actual question is that is it worth upgrading this old laptop? or should i get a new one? if i were to get a new one i'd expect the budget would be around 500AUD. as of upgrading may just take like 200-300AUD only.

id upgrade imo theres been quite a few improvements in computer components in the last 3-4 years.

it's been almost a month, but i hope this help if U haven't decide yet, I'm using the 4755G and as i see other user with 4755G mostly got the same issues... Overheating... I'm not sure about yours, but i think U should check your temperature 1st before deciding to upgrade it... I think I bought this 4755G around 3-4 years also, I was about to buy the 4750G, and this 4755G just got delivered to the shop in front of my eyes... So I take the 4755G instead... And never noticed the temperature... Till lately... I was gaming with this notebook, i did feel the low performance because of the throttle down (but at that time i blame on my GT450M, I taught it was not strong enough, I had no idea it was the temperature...) Well enough said... I hope it helps...
