Need help deciding between 2 GPUs

Hi,
I’m building my first PC with 8 gigs of 2666mhz and an i5 8400, but as for the graphics card, I still need to decide.
I’d like to play games like GTA V and Sea Of Thieves and Overwatch and maybe Battlefield 1 and V (when it comes out).
They’re supposed to be in the 230-40 Euro aka 250-60 Dollar (I think) range.
I’ve set my mind to the Zotac GTX 1060 3GB MINI (ITX build) or the bulkier ASUS RX 580 4GB
I’ve heard the RX 580 is a bit faster and has an extra gig of vram, so I’d be willing to pay the extra bucks.
Are these GPUs good enough to run said games?
Is the RX 580 better?
What do you think should I buy?
Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

They all do a decent job at 1080p/60Hz.

Depending on the game and the card chosen, you might need to turn the odd setting down to get a 100% 60fps lock here and there. But these are indeed the sorts of cards you should be looking at.

The RX 580 4GB is a bit quicker than the GTX 1060 3GB. Though not by a huge margin.

Regarding the GTX 1060 6GB; that card has not just the extra VRAM but also more Cuda cores than the 3GB edition. Plus a higher GPU clock.

Its closest competitor would be the RX 580 8GB ofc.
The two are pretty much neck and neck, trading blows. It's game dependant.

My advice would be to get whichever one you can find cheapest.

Well I have no idea about the Asus models but I wanted to ask what sort of graphics are you wanting on these games because if you're looking for like 60fps on high or somthing I dont think that will be enough but you could probably run it on some of the lower settings and get a decent fps.
