Need Help deciding on what needs to be upgraded and what it should be upgraded to.

I am trying to upgrade my computer so that way I can play games at 1440p 144 hz. My PC specs.
Motherboard: MSI 760GMA p34 Micro ATX AM3
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5 GHz 8 core
Video Card: MSI R9 390
PSU: Corsair CSM 750w 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX
Case: Nzxt Phantom 530(White) ATX Full Tower Case

I'd recommend a new core system. A new motherboard, CPU and RAM. What to get depends on your upgrade budget.
