I was thinking in an upgrade. But, at this point, after a very meh Haswell launch, I prefer to wait a lil bit longer b4 going full upgrade (wait for prices drop, maybe).

My PC
CPU: Phenom II x3 720 BE (FRIO cooler)
MB: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
RAM: 2GB Corsair XMS3 x2
PSU: Corsair HX620W
HDD: Dead...ish 60Gb Corsair SSD
3xHDD Seagate (1,5Tb and 2x2Tb)
Graphic: MSI r7870 Twim Frozr III

An upgrade exclusively on a better CPU will make any substantial improvement? a

Phenom x4 or x6 (I think the mobo could take it, need to check it)

Or just wait a lil longer and get a full i5 4670k (or i7) upgrade later?

The think is: I'm living in Brazil atm, and prices on technology here are

insanely high if compared to any other place in the planet, maybe the universe.

Not sure on that tho.
If I can avoid to buy techs here, I normally do. Unless is a "normalized" price

or the support is amazing (rarely also).
So, what do I do? new CPU+ram or wait longer get new stuff on trip abroad? (can maintain cooler and PSU, prolly)

Sorry, english isnt my first language, hey!, is not even second, 😉
Thank you in advance, Tomshardware forum people has been extremely helpful to decide what to do in the last years. Cheers.

Solution
Better to upgrade to a newer platform. Go for the i5 4670k or the 3570k, those will be much better off than any Phenom II. And you may want more RAM, 2GB is the bare minimum these days.
Thank you.
I most definetely gonna upgrade it eventually, but I wonder if an increase in CPU power(i saw some affordables used x6's) and few Gbs of RAM (that i can still use on my new rig) could make a sensible improve ment without changing the all thing.
