So I decided to upgrade to a 144hz monitor and I have 2 questions:
'Are tn monitors only good for gaming, can they also be used as a every day monitor (Web browsing, youtube etc.)

'I have 2 benq monitors and I can't decide which one to pick.
1. Xl2420Z
2.XL2430T

'And ps how bad is the color shift for tn panels?

Solution
TN will work for anything. The color shift is annoying because you need to be in just the right spot for colors to look right. If the monitor is too big, then you can't have all parts in the sweet spot at once. But they are cheap and they work.

As far as which screen, the two you are looking at have a fixed refresh rate. If you want to get a new monitor now, I'd say to get one of these over the other two (either 1080p or 1440p): http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2730Z-Monitor-Resolution-FreeSync/dp/B00TUK9D9K

It has Gsync. You'd need to have an Nvidia card for it to work. But here is another one at about the same price that has AMD's Adaptive Sync (also available in 1080p or 1440p)...
