Need some help with this one...

I bought a "good/tested" used 80G5N Adapter for my Dell Precision 7920T which should be compatible. I installed x4 970 Evo Plus 500gb NVME members.

My system will only detect the NVME that is plugged into the first slot of the 80G5N. The other 3 are not detected at all.

Dell tech deperartment says the 80G5N is DOA. So I purchased another one. Brand New this time....same results unfortunately.

Dell Tech dept. is now suggesting both 80G5N cards are DOA. I find that extremely hard to believe...

Everything I can find leads me to believe this setup should be plug and play.

Any suggestions?

Does your bios also only detects 1 drive?

Try swapping the drives.

If not get a replacement.

The first slot of the interposer is detected. If I put a single nvme in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th slot....it will not be detected.

I agree...buy a new card. Except I just did that...I bought a new card and have the same problem. Its definitely not impossible, but extremely unlikely that both cards arrived DOA.
