[SOLVED] Need Help Determining If My BIOS Version Supports my CPU

I recently bought a i9-9900KF and I want to put it in my Asus TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard -

**I bought the motherboard in Feb. of 2021 - I have never updated the BIOS

When I put it together in pcpartpicker - I get a compatibility issue that states that I may need to update my BIOS version to 2203 - My current BIOS version is 2808, but I can't find anywhere if that version supports the i9-9900KF.

Does anyone know if my current BIOS version, 2808, will support the i9-9900KF?

Also, while I'm here - I got 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM and in pcpartpicker it states that some z390 chipset motherboards may need an update prior to using 32GB RAM Modules. Is BIOS Version 2808 good enough to use 32GB RAM Modules?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

According to the support page -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboard...ming/TUF-Z390-PLUS-GAMING-WI-FI/HelpDesk_CPU/
the 9900KF requires 2203 version. If you have 2208 you should be OK.
I would recommend a BIOS update with the new CPU.

Thanks for your quick response kanewolf!!

So you are recommending that I update to the latest BIOS anyway before swapping the CPU? What could go wrong if I don't?
If you want Windows 11, you have to update. If you want the resizable memory map for NVIDIA 3000 series graphics cards you have to upgrade.
Is it REQUIRED? No, except for the conditions I listed. "Stability fixes" is always listed in BIOS updates. Do you need them? I can't say, if you would benefit.

I do not want to upgrade to Windows 11 so no worries there - I do have an NVIDIA 3000 series graphics card already, does v2808 not have the resizable memory map already? I apologize for not knowing this - I am new to this and just want to make sure that I am covering everything.

According to the BIOS download page -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboard...ing/TUF-Z390-PLUS-GAMING-WI-FI/HelpDesk_BIOS/
you would need the latest version to get the resizable memory map. Your 2808 version does include that.
