Need help diagnosing a problem with computer not booting all the time.

hey I'm new here whats up people and i need some help.

in the last couple days when i turn my computer on all the fans seem to receive power including the gpu fan and the motherboard lights up, but the screen remains black the mouse and keyboard don't light up and the computer doesn't boot up.

This happen the first time i turn it on now if i turn it off and turn it back on right away everything boots up usually sometimes it takes a couple times but it eventually boots up.

my system is 3-1/2 years and the specs are below.

msi z77a-g45 mobo
intel core i5 3570k cpu
zotac gtx 460
4gbx2 gskill ram
corsair tx650v2 psu
2ssds 2hdds

anyone know what the most likely thing that can be causing this thanks for any and all help guys and girls..

Today my computer would not post. I tired the keep powering on and off thing like 20 times, but that stopped working.. went out and bought a new motherboard. Everything seems to be working now. Just thought id post that in case anyone else is having the same issue.
