Hi all,
In the recent weeks my pc has been powering down and rebooting, only whilst playing games. Sometimes it happens minutes after loading up the game, sometimes an hour in.

Just looking for some advice as to what steps to take to diagnose where the issue lies.

Specs

UserBenchmarks: Game 108%, Desk 94%, Work 92%
CPU: Intel Core i5-8600K - 91.8%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070S (Super) - 117.3%
SSD: WD Black SN750 NVMe PCIe M.2 250GB (2019) - 186.5%
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB - 126.7%
SSD: Sandisk PLUS 240GB - 53.7%
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 74%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING

PSU : MPY-6501-AFAAG
AIO : Thermaltake water 3.0 240
Case: inwin 303
Let me know if more or more specific info is required. Thanks

What is the make/model of your psu?
What is your case and cpu cooler?

A game will drive up the power requirements considerably.
If your psu is of poor quality, underpowered, or old, that may be the culprit.

If this happens on only one game, look for a game patch.

A failure over time smacks of a heat issue.
Run HWmonitor.
If you see max temperatures approaching 100c. that is when the cpu will throttle or shut down to protect itself.

Are you overclocking anything?
If so back off and see if that helps.

Nothing is overclocked anymore, when it first occurred I reverted any OC changes.

It has happened with Halo infinite (whilst in the menus).
Problem mainly occurs with New World, I've seen online numerous times that the game is not optimized in regards to gpu usage. Gpu fan speeds also ramp up.

CPU does not reach 100c (I have another CPU temp software installed)but I will run HWmonitor per your suggestion/testing purposes, and post the data.

I have also used DDU and removed old drivers for the gpu as well as installing most recent bios for mobo and windows update.
