So I’ve been playing a few games and I can’t seem to figure out what’s holding me back. Looking at task manager my cpu usage is only 15% and gpu onlt 28-30% but I’m getting totally crap FPS. Dips into the low 40s mid game (diablo 3, destiny 2, apex legends) during active battles.
Ryzen 5 2600 stock cooler
MSI b450 tomahawk
Rtx 2060 6gb asus rog strix
16gb ddr4 Corsair vengeance RGB pro (running the xmb profile for 2933mhz)
My temps are no where near the issue I’m positive 50C max cpu and gpu so not even close.
I just fresh installed windows, all updates, gpu drivers and chipset drivers. Am I missing anything? I just can’t figure it out. Something is holding my back my old rx 580 performed this well. I’ve attached a pic of my HW monitor and my cpu usage it seems like core 7 is the only active core running these games and it’s hitting almost 100% consistently... why / how when some of these games are older titles and I’ve seen benchmarks for these games in the 100s stable. Easy.
Anyways any help is appreciated.
